One Last Look at Las Vegas

Posted in Photography by Bridget Casas on January 19, 2009

I took this photo in downtown Las Vegas.  It is a fun place to be! It is called The Fremont Street Experience – a very popular place to be on any night. I really like seeing the older casinos there, especially the Golden Nugget. If you have never been to Las Vegas, it is quite an experience. You do not have to gamble or go to see shows to have a good time. There is so much to do!

The lady of Glitter Gulch…

Sunday was my birthday and it was a nice day. Very warm here in Huntington Beach. I just relaxed and didn’t do much. Larry came by in the morning. We finally got to see the photos from Scotland. They were very good and oh so beautiful. What a great trip they had! Willie fixed us dinner last night – it was delicious. We had steak, baked potato, sauteed mushrooms and an ice cream sandwich for dessert. What more could I have asked for?

There Really is No Rest For Bridget!

Now it is official!  I say this pretty much describes my life! How many of us get to see our name up in neon lights?  Up at Bella Terra Mall is this women’s clothing store. However, I don’t quite understand what the name has to do with clothing. I will need to go in and ask them. They were not open when we were there.

Yesterday was the first day of Fall. It is cooling down in the evenings and the days are getting shorter.  We went up to the mall after dinner and walked around a little bit.  I had my tripod and used my telephoto lens on my camera.  I have to take a lot of photos to get one I want to use.  It was hard to balance the neon lights with the lighting on the front of the building. I was happy with this one. I hope you agree.

Beautiful Summer Night!

Posted in Photography by Bridget Casas on September 9, 2008
I have enjoyed taking photos of neon signs in the past. Willie had to go to Long Beach last night so I thought I would go with him and take some photographs. It was such a nice evening and there were many people walking around and enjoying one of the last evenings of summer. We went over by the Queen Mary and walked around all over.  I had seen this neon before and wanted to photograph it.  I do know that taking a photo of someone else’s artwork is not good photography, so I am just documenting the artwork.  It was for fun and I really like it.  I hope you think it is a fun photo too.

The math did not go too well yesterday.  I was having trouble with the online program so I need to figure out how to fix it.  I got some of it done but I got frustrated because it was not working like it is supposed to.  It is frustrating because I am at their mercy – I have no control.  Anyway, I think I am starting to ramble and I do not want to do that.
