Christmas Quilt

I used to do a lot of quilting but I haven’t done any in recent years.  I made this in 2002 for my mother. She had bought the pattern and was going to make it herself. It was one of those things she never got to. I totally surprised her – it was great! As I recall, she even cried! There is a lot of hand applique and I also hand quilted it. I have always loved sewing and quilting – one day I will get back to it.

Larry and Shelley just called from Scotland! I was very surprised and I almost didn’t answer the phone! They had been to Edinburgh Castle and everything has been great. There is 8 hours time difference so they were getting ready to go to dinner. They really made my day! Howard called this morning and said they want us to come for dinner. I didn’t really want to go anywhere but we are going. Larry’s phone call put me in a much better mood.  Merry Christmas to all of you!
